Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques chairs the Cabinet session.. the most prominent decisions
NEOM - The Council of Ministers held its session today, Tuesday, 5 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1442 AH, corresponding to June 15, 2021 AD - via video communication - under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The council touched on what God has honored this blessed country with from serving the Two Holy Mosques, and the permanent care and full care given to those who go to them, according to the highest safety and safety measures.
He reviewed the overall discussions and consultations held by the Kingdom during the past days, and supported international and regional efforts to lay the foundations for security and stability, and actively strive to resolve conflicts and address crises.
The Council of Ministers dealt with the Declaration of Peace in Afghanistan, which was signed by senior scholars from the Republics of Pakistan and Afghanistan in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with the support and sponsorship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which would pave the way for resolving the Afghan crisis.
The council also made several decisions:
- A draft general agreement for cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Chile.
- Approval of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the radio and television field between the Radio and Television Corporation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Iraqi Media Network in the Republic of Iraq.
- A draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for cooperation in the field of direct investment promotion.
The joining of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and its resources with independent membership.
- Establishing an academy called “Mahd Sports Academy”, concerned with developing and developing sports talents.
- Merging the “Public Pension Agency” into the “General Organization for Social Insurance”.
