Saudi Arabia affirms its support for Morocco to find a realistic political solution to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara
New York - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed its support and support for the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Morocco to find a realistic political solution to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara on the basis of consensus based on the relevant Security Council resolutions and under the supervision of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
This came in the speech of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the Special Committee on the Status of Implementation of the Declaration on Granting Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, held today, Tuesday, under the item of the Moroccan Sahara, delivered by the Kingdom’s delegate to the committee.
The representative of Saudi Arabia said: “The efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco in combating the Covid-19 pandemic and providing a vaccine for a large number of people in the Moroccan Sahara must be commended, praising the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco’s respect for the ceasefire in the Moroccan Sahara and the peace process it carried out on November 13, 2020 to ensure Freedom of movement at the Karkarat crossing
He added: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renews its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom of Morocco to establish freedom of civil and commercial movement in the Buffer Zone of the Guerguerat crossing."
