The spokesman for the Eastern Region Municipality, Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Safyan, explained that the walkway consists of interlock pedestrian paths and planting basins containing shade trees, flowers, containers and chairs with a modern design, which was implemented using 3D printing technology, and this is the first time to use such technology. To take advantage of them in shaping the urban landscape and the urban environment, as the seats and sessions are not a functional piece that serves visitors by sitting, resting and waiting only, but it can also be an aesthetic piece that gives the space a distinctive identity, and this is what the Eastern Region Municipality has done with the chairs located in the Al-Nozha neighborhood walkway (walkway). Al Bahja), as the design and details in it were inspired by the characteristics of the eastern region. Guidance panels made of aluminum panels were set up containing innovative awareness phrases to preserve the environment and the trees. The walkway was also illuminated by installing decorative lighting 3 meters high along the walkway. A colorful asphalt walkway with a width of 4 meters and a length of 500 meters has also been added, which is a qualitative walkway designed with the idea of ​​what is known as (Tactical Urbanism), as it contains several of our Interactive grates such as kinetic games for children, some of which simulate traditional games, some of which are educational and educational games, while others are artistic and engineering drawings that add a spirit of joy and activity to visitors. Design ideas have also been worked out to attract pedestrians on the road, which are several iron arches painted in attractive colors and placed at the beginning of the walkway Its installation is in the middle and end of the walkway, which in turn attracts the eyes of passers-by and arouses their curiosity to go and discover what this walkway contains. This walkway is the first of its kind in Dammam, pointing out that it remains to install all the chairs and containers and complete the interactive graphics, during the next few period.

Muhammad Al-Safyan said that this project is a first phase, and the second phase will start next year, God willing, in the space next to the walkway, and it will be developed to match what has been developed in the walkway, and green spaces and shade trees will have the largest share of implementation.

The spokesperson added that the walkway includes an interactive path for children, with two interlock paths, 4 meters wide for each path and 500 meters long, with a modern design, in the middle of them is a 2 meters wide area with planting basins for shade trees and flowering shrubs, seating chairs with modern design and manufacture, and decorative lighting poles 5 meters high to illuminate the walkway. It contains an interactive path on the Tactical Urbanism method with colored asphalt with drawings and educational and interactive games for children in a modern and attractive way, in addition to awareness panels guiding visitors,

He pointed out that the Municipality established Al-Bahja Walk in Al-Nozha District in Dammam, as part of the initiative to humanize cities and improve and upgrade the civilized scene.

He said that this comes within the framework of the "Made in Saudi Arabia" program, which achieves one of the objectives of the 2030 economic and industrial vision in supporting national products and services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to guidance panels and unconventional awareness with modern designs.
