Implementation of the first health walkway in Dammam

Beth: The central Dammam municipality implemented the first health walkway, in the Hamra district of Dammam.


The mayor of central Dammam, Eng. Abdullah bin Sanad Al-Shammari, stated that the walkway is 12 meters long and 2 meters wide, and includes 8,000 "quartz" stones, indicating that the walkway includes all the necessary needs to contribute to raising public health and finding a suitable place to practice walking. And running to various groups of society.

He said that it comes within the efforts of the Eastern Region Municipality aimed at implementing the outputs of the Quality of Life Program, pointing out that the establishment of the walkway confirms the Municipality’s keenness to develop services provided to residents and visitors, by establishing pedestrian paths projects aimed at encouraging walking and preserving public health, and at increasing the percentage of citizens' exercise. For sports on a regular basis, as part of its efforts to develop services and provide amenities and entertainment for all spectrums of society, and the establishment of the walkway comes in line with the efforts made to implement health goals, and to enhance community awareness of the importance of walking continuously.
