Saudi Arabia ... Apply institutional quarantine measures to all arrivals to the Kingdom from countries that have not been suspended from coming

RIYADH - An official source at the Ministry of Interior stated that, in light of the great efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and based on what was raised by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has been decided to apply institutional quarantine measures to all arrivals to the Kingdom from countries that have not been suspended from coming.

The following categories are excluded from institutional quarantine, provided that the precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health are applied to them:

First: Those arriving through the air ports, for the following cases:

Citizens, male and female citizens, citizen's wife, citizen husband, sons and daughters of citizenship, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups.

Unvaccinated domestic workers accompanying a fortified resident.

- the fortified ones.

Official delegations.

Those holding a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their families residing with them.

Air Navigation Crews.

Those involved in health supply chains, according to the Ministry of Health.

Second: Those arriving through the land and sea ports, for the following cases:

Citizens, male and female citizens, citizen's wife, citizen husband, sons and daughters of citizenship, and domestic workers accompanying any of the aforementioned groups.

A person whose health condition appears (immunized), and his companions under the age of 18 years.

Those holding a diplomatic visa, and diplomats and their families residing with them.

Crews of marine vessels.

- Truck drivers and their assistants of all

Ports.

Those involved in health supply chains, according to the Ministry of Health.

- The excluded cases, as determined by the concerned authorities.

With the implementation of the home quarantine against them, except for the immunized, with an emphasis on the need to obtain a valid health insurance document to cover the risks of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) approved by the official authorities in the Kingdom, and that is for all those coming to the Kingdom (who are not immunized). Procedures starting from Thursday, Shawwal 8, 1442 AH, corresponding to May 20, 2021 CE.

The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to precautionary measures and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in applying health requirements.

The source indicated that all the precautionary measures and preventive measures related to travel are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments of the epidemiological situation, and the relevant authorities will announce the regulations governing this.
