The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority awards the contract to build the second cargo terminal at King Khalid International Airport to SATS of Singapore

The Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company, Abdul Hadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansoori, handed over the license for the second cargo terminal to the Singaporean company, "SATS", to service freight at Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and start its construction work.

Under the license, the Singaporean company (SATS) will build its cargo terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in two phases, with a total area of ​​60,000 square meters, and the station will be able to handle approximately 600,000 tons of cargo annually, upon full completion. From the station, whose first phase is expected to be completed in mid-2022, the company will also allocate a facility for a specially designed cold chain to handle sensitive perishable materials and a dedicated track for pharmaceutical products. The second cargo terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh uses approximately 40% of the air freight volume in the Kingdom, and that by contacting the company's two terminals in Dammam and the Sultanate of Oman and their terminals in Asian countries.
