Hizon Motors revealed the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the company, NEOM, to develop a plant to assemble hydrogen-powered vehicles and fuel cell solutions in the new city, which costs $ 500 billion.

Hizone is supposed to be the main provider of heavy-duty commercial fleet vehicles inside Saudi Arabia, and the parties participating in the agreement will work to finalize the plans and specifications for the regional assembly plant, which is expected to be completed within a year and a half.

To facilitate the process, Hizon Motors, one of the global suppliers of commercial vehicles powered by zero-emission hydrogen cell fuels, will merge with Modern Industrial Investment Holding Group, under a joint venture called “Hayson Motors Middle East”.

The combined company will focus on supplying zero emissions commercial vehicles to Saudi Arabia and the GCC. The target plant aims to produce about 10,000 vehicles according to specifications.

“The hydrogen targeted in the project is considered an essential fuel in heavy-duty commercial transportation, and we are working to free it from fossil fuels,” said Craig Saint, CEO and founding member of Hayson.
