According to the United Nations report..Saudi Arabia ranks first in the Arab world and 21st globally in the happiness index
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first in the Arab world and 21 globally in the United Nations Global Happiness Index for 2021, which measures happiness indicators in 150 countries around the world for 10 years.
The report stated that the Kingdom has achieved advanced ranks in terms of freedom of decision-making and the domestic income product, which are indicators that support the quality of life, indicating that the Kingdom has achieved first place in the Arab world in the rate of growth and development.
The report of the Global Happiness Index in its version for 2021 focused on the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, the way countries have followed in dealing with it, including the Kingdom, and the exceptional efforts they have made under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness, the trustworthy Crown Prince - may God protect them -, as it announced The slogan #HumanFirst, when announcing its plan to confront the developments of the Corona pandemic, which was keen to ensure the safety of citizens and residents, and to preserve their health, stability and well-being.
The Kingdom’s achievement of the first place in the Arab world in the United Nations World Happiness Report for the year 2021, and the ranking of 21 globally, reflects the pioneering role that the Kingdom enjoys regionally and globally, and the correct approach it follows in its development path that places human safety and well-being at the top of its priorities.
The Kingdom’s leadership in the global happiness index reflects the success of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy under the supervision and leadership of His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect him -, especially in the sectors related to quality of life, as the program adopts the World Happiness Report as one of its reference indicators.
The Kingdom has made continuous annual progress in the Global Happiness Report since 2017, which confirms the successes achieved by Vision 2030 in all sectors, especially those concerned with the quality of life, happiness and well-being of society.
The Kingdom’s government’s attention to community members and their well-being is not limited to the economic, health and service aspects related to the Corona crisis only. Rather, it extended to include psychosocial support through campaigns and programs that worked to spread positive spirit and provide advice, experiences and instructions.
