Beth: The activities of the “Eye of the Falcon 1” exercise were launched today, Tuesday, from Souda Air Base in the Republic of Greece.

The exercise began with several joint sorties from the Royal Saudi Air Force “F-15C” and Hellenic Air Force “F-16”, “Mirage-2000” and “Phantom P-4” aircraft in the Mediterranean sky, where the exercise activities centered on Executing many training sorties that include counter operations, both offensive and defensive, and air support operations.

The Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force Group participating in the exercise, Colonel Pilot Abdul Rahman bin Saeed Al-Shehri, confirmed that this participation is the first for the Air Force in this exercise, which is carried out with all precautionary measures taken for the Corona pandemic, indicating that the exercise was preceded by several coordination meetings with the Greek Air Force. It focused on the mechanism of action, the type of flights and the participating aircraft and their numbers, and accordingly a complete program was developed that includes all sorties.

He added that this exercise is exceptional and the first of its kind with the Hellenic Air Force to refine and develop the skills of the air crew, technical and support, and to support their readiness to exchange experiences in all available fields.
