Blackman: The Iranians see the mullahs' regime as their true enemy
Beth: Representative Bob Blackman: Misogyny is the nature of the mullahs' regime that acts like a pariah state with nuclear blackmail, hostage-taking diplomacy, terrorism, and brutal domestic repression of legitimate protests
Representative Bob Blackman, at the global conference on the occasion of International Women's Day, spoke about the mullahs ’anti-women policy: Iranian women bear the primary responsibility and the difficult task of bringing down one of the most repressive regimes in history and our time. As Mrs. Rajavi has said on many occasions, this regime cannot abandon terrorism, human rights violations, executions or torture, even for one day because if it did, it would be immediately overthrown by the people and women of Iran, because people see the regime as the true enemy of Iran.
Blackman added: Misogyny is the nature of this system, which justifies and imposes family oppression of women by tightening the screws on women and applying a repressive and compulsory dress system against them. The system does not have the ability to repair. In other words, the principle of velayat-e faqih (the mullahs absolute rule) is the pillar of the regime’s constitution, and it cannot be changed even through a referendum.
Blackman noted that the Iranian people are expressing this understanding with their protests across the country in the past three years as they chanted slogans such as: “Down with the dictator,” “Our enemy is here, they lie and say it is America,” “No to the reformists, no to the hardliners, the game is over.” "Only by taking to the street can we get our rights."
He added: The regime in Iran is acting as a pariah state through nuclear blackmail, hostage-taking diplomacy, terrorism and destabilization in the region, complemented by a brutal internal suppression of legitimate protests, opposition, and dissenting voices.
Blackman said this unacceptable behavior must be countered with the utmost pressure and not the utmost diplomacy by the United Kingdom and its allies in Europe and the United States. In this regard, it is completely unacceptable for the European Union to sponsor a business forum to promote trade in Iran with the participation of European and Iranian diplomats, as was the case last week, while the regime is doing its best to exclude women from Iranian society and prevent them from economic participation or emancipation.
He added: In addition, the Economic Forum between the European Union and Iran sent a wrong signal to the regime in Iran, the state sponsor of terrorism in the world, at a time when one of its diplomats was sentenced to 20 years in prison for terrorism in Europe and the attempt to blow up an opposition gathering, the meeting of the National Council of Iranian Resistance. In Paris.
Blackman stressed that the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States need to listen to the Iranian people and apply maximum pressure. And that the National Council of Iranian Resistance and Mrs. Rajavi's 10-point democratic plan are the strong weapon against the mullahs, adding: Mrs. Rajavi's 10-point plan has gained widespread recognition among the parties in the US Congress, and in both the British and European Parliament. We saw this through strong support for a new resolution on Iran in the US Congress last month, House Resolution 118 and support in the British House of Commons shows that this is the will of the elected representatives of our great nations.
Representative Bob Blackman affirmed that the support of the Iranian people and the National Council of Resistance of Iran to liberate Iran from the grip of this brutal regime is the only long-term sustainable solution to securing and promoting human rights, democracy and equality in Iran. This should be the pillar and ultimate goal of UK policy on Iran.
In the conclusion of his speech, Representative Bob Blackman pointed out that Iranian women are in the face of the regime to achieve the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people, which converge today with the economic and security interests of the United Kingdom and Europe in general, explaining that this is the policy of real gains for the United Kingdom and Iran, in contrast to the dialogue and the nuclear agreement. Defective with the mullahs claimed by many government employees, diplomats and supporters of appeasement of the regime.
