The Islamic Military Alliance holds a symposium on "Guerrilla Warfare and its Relationship to Terrorism"

Today, Thursday, the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition held a seminar entitled "Guerrilla War and its Relationship with Terrorism", presented by Brigadier General Yahya Asiri of the Kingdom's delegation to the coalition, and Lt. Col. Jawy Zaki Al Rawahi, the Sultanate of Oman's representative to the coalition, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Coalition to Combat Terrorism. Major-General Pilot P.S.C Mohamed Al-Maghidi, representatives of member states and employees of the coalition.

During the seminar, Brigadier General Asiri referred to the nature of guerrilla warfare, its relationship to terrorism, and its connection to the four areas concerned with terrorism (intellectual, media, terrorist financing, and military) and emphasized that it is a form of irregular wars that has become a global phenomenon in its dimensions and manifestations. These groups threaten security, stability and peace at the local, regional and international levels.

It is worth noting that the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition includes forty-one member states, working together to coordinate and intensify their efforts in the international war on violent extremism and terrorism, and to join other international efforts aimed at maintaining international peace and security.
