President of the Arab Parliament renews his warning of the disaster of the SAFER tanker
Cairo - Beth: The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, warned of the persistence of the Houthi militia’s intransigence by not allowing the United Nations team to maintain the "Safer" oil tank located off Ras Issa port in the city of Hodeidah on the Red Sea. Dangerous in the tanker, which carries 1.14 million barrels of oil and is threatened with sinking or explosion, which could lead to a dire environmental, humanitarian and economic disaster for Yemen, the countries of the region, and international shipping.
The President of the Arab Parliament called on the Security Council and the international community to take urgent and immediate international action to save the situation, especially after satellites detected new images that confirmed that the SAFER tanker had begun to move from its place, which portends serious consequences that require decisive and urgent intervention before the disaster strikes and to stop bargaining and extorting the Houthi militia to society. International and its failure to respond to international warnings of the catastrophic consequences of preventing the United Nations team from reaching the tanker.
