The judiciary opened an investigation against three health care providers for the unintentional killing of Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona last November, according to a judicial source, Monday.

Neurosurgeon Leopoldo Locke and psychiatrist Agustina Kozachov were the first to be included in the investigation, before now extending to a psychologist and nurses (man and woman) who were accompanied by the "golden boy" before his departure.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in San Isidro opened an investigation at the end of November to determine responsibility for the death of Maradona, who died of heart complications on the 25th of the same month at the age of 60 at his home in Tigre, north of the capital Buenos Aires.

This procedure began after testimonies from the three daughters of Maradona, Dalma, Giannina and Jana, and aims to identify possible negligence or recklessness in treatment.

According to the judicial source, the three new suspects are scheduled to appear before the Public Prosecution Office this week.
