Saudi Tourism launches a new package ... visiting three nature reserves
The Saudi Tourism Authority announced the launch of new tourism packages; In cooperation with the National Center for Wildlife Development, it gives tourists, during the "Saudi Winter" season, the opportunity to enjoy visiting three nature reserves, namely: Aruq Bani Maared Reserve, Saja and Umm Al Ramth Reserve, and Farasan Islands Reserve.
Tourism Authority provides through this step; An opportunity to embark on a journey of exploration of wildlife rich in environmental diversity, climate, rare natural, plant and animal wealth, and many diverse and enjoyable activities such as visiting archaeological sites, camping, safari, stargazing, hiking and many more.
The "Aruq Bani Maaroud Reserve" is located along the southwestern edge of the Empty Quarter. It is the largest sea of sand on earth, and it maintains a diverse spectrum of wildlife and the most wonderful desert landscapes, and the temperature of the reserve in winter ranges between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius, and it hosts reserves designated for preserving rare animal resources such as the Arabian gazelle, ostriches and mountain gazelle, And others, in addition to a number of perennial and rare shrubs in this region specifically.
As for the Farasan Islands Reserve, it is located in the southeastern part of the Red Sea coast. It is an archipelago of more than 170 islands, 40 to 90 kilometers away from Jizan. There are more than 180 species, some of which are only found in this reserve, in addition to 50 species of thick coral and 230 species of fish.
While the "Saja and Umm Al Ramth Reserve" is located in the central western region of the Kingdom, which is a thin sandy plain with muddy, rocky and sandy hills, it was famous as a site for the resettlement of Houbara, oryx and ostriches, and the temperatures in this area range between 9 and 23 degrees Celsius in the winter season. Medium plant that helps preserve the germplasm of rare livestock and birds.
