The Chairman of the US House of Representatives Organizing Committee said Wednesday's session will discuss removing President Donald Trump from office before President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20.

"It's important to move quickly," Democratic Congressman Jim McGovern told CNN on Monday.

McGovern said he believed that House Republicans would oppose a resolution calling on Vice President Mike Pence to implement the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution and remove Trump from power, adding that in this case, the Organizational Committee will refer the subject of the resolution to the public vote, and after 24 hours, it will submit a resolution. Another is on impeachment to vote.
