Faiza Rafsanjani, daughter of the late Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani, said that "Iran's interference in Syria has left 500 thousand people dead," noting that her father opposed Soleimani's intervention in Syria.

Fazaa Rafsanjani added that her father, who was the head of the Expediency Council (after the end of his presidential term), opposed Iran's intervention in Syria, and informed the former commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani.

"Soleimani consulted my father before he went to Syria, and the father told him not to go," Rafsanjani said in an interview with the reformist website Insaf News.

A former member of parliament asked: "What have Soleimani’s actions and our policy produced? What have they achieved for us in the fields of economy, freedoms and foreign policy?"

Fazaa Rafsanjani criticized Iran's policy in the region, saying that it "led to us losing our friends, and our foreign policy became similar to domestic politics, as supporters turned into critics, then critics changed into opponents."

In another matter, the daughter of the former Iranian president said that she had wished that “the winner in the American elections would be President Donald Trump, in order to pressure the regime to change its policies towards the people of Iran, and that this would not be achieved in the era of democrats, because they are more flexible in dealing with Iran ".
