"Pelosi lacks an understanding of how to use the US nuclear arsenal," a US Defense Department official said in advice to nuclear leaders. Her statements are "ridiculous" and provocatively make America look weak. 

The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, had announced that she had discussed with the US military leadership preventing the current president of the country, Donald Trump, from launching any military operations or nuclear strikes.

Pelosi, in a letter sent Friday to members of the House of Representatives, stated that she had spoken with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, about precautionary measures to prevent Trump from carrying out any hostilities or ordering a nuclear strike.
