Astronomical events in 2121
The head of the Astronomy and Space Sciences Department at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Asiri, explained that the year 2021, God willing, will witness multiple astronomical events, including the occurrence of a total lunar eclipse on May 26, to be seen in East Asia, Australia and the Americas, and a partial eclipse on November 19 to be seen in the Americas and Europe Asia and Australia.
He pointed out that the solar eclipse occurs before or two weeks after the eclipse, as northern Canada, Greenland and Russia witness an annular eclipse of the sun on June 10, while Antarctica experiences a total solar eclipse on December 4, and the eclipse occurs when the moon lies between the earth and the sun in a straight line Space and thus the moon blocks sunlight from reaching the earth.
Among the astronomical phenomena that will occur during the year 2021 AD, the planet Saturn will fall on August 2 in the converging position, while Jupiter will reach the same position on August 20, and upon convergence, the planet is located opposite the sun in the sky relative to the earth so that it shines at the same time that the sun sets. The convergence position is the best time to observe the planet, as it is almost at the closest point in its orbit to the Earth, and therefore it appears brighter and larger, and this happens to all the planets of the solar system except Mercury and Venus because they are located inside the Earth's orbit.
