Saudi Arabia refuses to infringe on the sovereignty of its judicial system from any party
Geneva - The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, affirmed that the Kingdom enjoys a fair and independent judiciary, and does not accept in any way any prejudice to the sovereignty of its judicial system by any party, stressing that the Kingdom rejects any dictates to interfere in the judicial affairs in the country.
In his interview with Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Nada Al-Nashef, the permanent representative explained that the Kingdom has taken, during the past few years, important historical steps in the field of women’s rights and empowerment at all levels, and that this came under the directives of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - and direct attention of His Highness the Crown Prince His faithful era.
Dr. Al-Wasil called on the High Commissioner for Human Rights to stay away from politicizing human rights issues and respect the sovereignty and independence of states and the judgments of their judicial bodies.
