Saudi Navy launches MH-60R multi-role combat helicopters (video)
The Commander of the Saudi Naval Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ghafili, inaugurated today, Wednesday, at the Naval Forces Airport in Jubail, the multi-purpose combat naval combat aircraft (MH-60R), in the presence of the Commander of the US Central Command, the Fifth Fleet and the Mixed Forces (CMF) Lieutenant General Samuel Papparo.
General Al-Rukn Al-Ghafili said during the inauguration ceremony: “This type of aircraft possesses the latest technologies and systems for counter-wars against surface and subsurface targets, and the implementation of all tasks with ships in various weather conditions, which enhances the capabilities of the naval forces to meet all challenges and threats in the region, and to raise the readiness of the forces. The Saudi Royal Navy and to enhance maritime security and tighten maritime control to defend the kingdom’s maritime interests.
