New Security Arrangements for Hajj 1446H

As part of its preparations for the Hajj season of 1446H (2025), the Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced a series of organizational and security measures designed to ensure the safety of pilgrims and enable them to perform their religious duties with peace and ease.

 

📍 Entry and Exit Deadlines for Umrah Visitors:

Final date for Umrah entry into the Kingdom:
Sunday, 15 Shawwal 1446H (April 13, 2025)

Final date for Umrah departure from the Kingdom:
Tuesday, 1 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446H (April 29, 2025)

 

🚧 Regulating Entry of Residents into Makkah:

Starting Wednesday, 25 Shawwal 1446H (April 23, 2025),
residents will be required to obtain official permits to enter the Holy Capital (Makkah).
Those without valid permits will be denied entry and returned to their point of origin.

🔹 Entry will be allowed only for the following groups:

Residents with an official permit to work in the Holy Sites

Residents holding a national ID issued in Makkah

Individuals with official Hajj permits

✳️ Permits are issued electronically through:

The “Absher Individuals” platform

The “Muqeem” portal

 

🕋 Temporary Suspension of Umrah Permits:

Issuance of Umrah permits via the “Nusuk” platform will be suspended for the following categories:
Saudi citizens, GCC nationals, residents in the Kingdom, and holders of other visa types.

The suspension period will be:

From: Tuesday, 1 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446H (April 29, 2025)
To: Monday, 14 Dhul-Hijjah 1446H (June 10, 2025)

 

🚫 Makkah Entry Prohibited Without Hajj Visa:

Starting Tuesday, 1 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446H (April 29, 2025),
no individual will be allowed to enter or remain in Makkah without an official Hajj visa.

 

📢 Official Call to Action:

The Ministry of Interior has urged citizens, residents, and visitors to strictly comply with these directives and cooperate with the relevant authorities.
Violating the regulations may result in legal penalties.
