The Eastern Province Municipality continues its efforts to improve the urban landscape by lighting up heritage houses, which are implemented by the Qatif municipality in the Qala'a neighborhood in the Qatif governorate, and to rehabilitate, develop and beautify the squares surrounding the castle square.

These efforts come within the works of the Eastern Region Municipality to preserve the archaeological sites and highlight the heritage buildings that abound in the region according to the comprehensive development plans for the province.
