The Misk Institute of Art launches its first "Misk Art Grant"
The Misk Art Institute affiliated with the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation "Misk Charity" launched the first version of the "Misk Art Grant", an annual program that provides financial and technical support to creative artists inside and outside the Kingdom, and seeks to enable young people to unleash their artistic energies, by working with A selection of mentors and curators to raise the level of creative production among the participants.
In its first version, the program took the theme of "dwelling", referring to stability in place and latency until the moment of its launch, a name that simulates the situation resulting from the Corona pandemic and the stay it imposed in homes, and was a catalyst for many individuals to explore their hidden creative energies.
The exhibition "Mukhut" was launched with the launch of the Misk Art Week on the third of December and will continue until the end of February 2021 AD. Five Saudi artists whose works were chosen by the committee to be the first winners of the artistic grant will be shown by the participants throughout the days of an exhibition in the Prince Faisal bin Gallery. The CEO of Misk Art Institute, Reem Al-Sultan, stated that what the Misk Art Institute seeks is to create an artistic environment that incubates young creations, capable of enriching the Saudi art scene, by providing a set of tools, programs and initiatives that support the creative development of artists.
The "Misk Art Grant" program is among the first art events that the Misk Institute holds to enrich the Saudi art scene.
It is noteworthy that the Misk Art Institute was established in 2017 to be a support platform for artists and the arts of all kinds, and to stimulate creative work and raise it to the level of international representation.
