The approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to hold a local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize for Preserving, Reciting and Interpreting the Noble Qur’an for boys and girls
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued an approval to hold a local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Prize for Preserving, Reciting and Interpreting the Noble Qur’an for Boys and Girls in its 22nd session during the blessed month of Ramadan 1442 AH, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, totaling prizes ( 3.234.000) riyals.
On this occasion, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance, the general supervisor of local and international Quranic competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abd al-Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, raised his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful Crown Prince - may God protect them - for their care and care for everything that serves the Holy Qur’an and contributes to the spread of its sciences. And that includes this pioneering competition, which is a model for caring for the Book of God, and an incentive for young people to memorize it and compete in that.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs stated that the competition consists of the following branches: The first branch: memorizing the entire Noble Qur’an with good recitation, intonation and interpretation of the vocabulary of the Qur’an, the second branch: memorizing the entire Holy Qur’an with good recitation and intonation, and the third branch: memorizing twenty consecutive parts with good recitation and intonation Fourth Branch: Ten consecutive parts memorizing with good recitation and Tajweed, Fifth Branch: Five consecutive parts memorizing with good recitation and Tajweed, and the sixth branch (exceptional in this session) is special for the children of martyrs in the security and military sectors.
He pointed out that it has been directed to add a branch to this competition for memorizing the entire Qur’an with the seven frequent recitations. The winner and winner of the first place will receive 200,000 riyals, the second place prize is 185,000 riyals, and the third place prize is an amount of 170,000 riyals, for each winner and winner.
He stressed that the ministry began working to implement the noble decree to hold the competition and its final qualifiers in all regions, in accordance with the procedures approved by the competent authorities to ensure the safety of the contestants, and the ministry also circulated to all charitable societies for the memorization of the Holy Qur’an in the regions of the Kingdom to start implementing all measures to hold the competition on time.
