The "future of Aviation" International Conference in its third edition, held under the slogan "enhancing the level of global connectivity" in Riyadh, reviews investment opportunities worth more than 100 billion dollars in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to transform the kingdom into a leading logistics center in the Middle East.

The conference will be held during the period from May 20 to 22, 2024, in Riyadh under the slogan "enhancing the level of global connectivity", under the patronage of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud-and organized by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation.

The minister of transport and logistics and chairman of the board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, said that the aviation sector in the Kingdom offers unparalleled economic and investment opportunities in the field of aviation globally, as the aviation strategy aims to double the number of passengers, connect the kingdom to more than 250 destinations around the world, raise the level of freight to 4.5 million tons of cargo annually, and consolidate the kingdom's position as an international aviation hub and a global Center for logistics services.

Al-Jasser stressed that the kingdom has become a magnet for investment in the transport and logistics sectors; pointing out that the aviation and air transport sector and the major projects it is witnessing is a major development and investment sector and a key enabler in the broader economic transformation plan, pointing out that a major package of development projects has been announced in the aviation sector that will form promising development and investment opportunities that contribute to deepening partnership and integration between the public and private sectors to support economic growth and achieve sustainable development.

The third edition of the future of aviation 2024 conference, which is attended by more than 5 thousand senior officials and leaders of the aviation sectors in the world and heads of international airlines, focuses on a number of issues facing the global aviation sector, discusses ways to meet priority challenges, while highlighting the unprecedented growth, investment and innovation opportunities provided by the kingdom.

The conference will discuss the main topics that will reshape the future of the global aviation sector, such as air transport, the development of environmental sustainability in the field of Civil Aviation, enabling advanced air mobility, enhancing the level of global connectivity, and working to strengthen supply chains, by providing a unique platform to discuss the future of the sector, and contributing to the creation of new and unprecedented growth opportunities.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation's Organization of the future of aviation conference 2024, which is the most prominent event in the global aviation sector this year, comes after an exceptional year for air traffic in the kingdom during 2023, during which it recorded an unprecedented record in terms of passengers, which amounted to about 112 million passengers through various airports in the kingdom, an increase of 26%.
