Chinese railway construction company celebrates the completion of one of the tunnels in NEOM
The China Railway Construction Company is celebrating the completion of a 2 km long tunnel in NEOM within the spin layer, which will be dedicated to high-speed trains, mobility vehicles and freight trains, to connect the line area with the oxachon advanced industries zone.
In June 2022, NEOM announced the awarding of two contracts to two alliances consisting of a group of companies specialized in the field of engineering and construction to build two tunnels with a length of 28 kilometers dedicated to high-speed transportation and freight services in the infrastructure of the "the line"project.
The project will be implemented in accordance with the best international practices in environmental protection in construction and construction projects, and in order to achieve NEOM's vision of preserving 95% of nature, as drilling waste from rocks will be recycled and used in the permanent concrete of tunnels, and at other construction sites in NEOM, which includes the largest and most important transport and infrastructure projects in the world.accordingly, NEOM aspires to achieve leadership in advanced engineering and construction solutions and innovations, which embody an unconventional and unprecedented model in the world.
The first alliance includes the companies "FCC Construction SA","Chinese state construction and engineering", and one of the Saudi companies, "peninsula contracting", while the second Alliance includes the companies "Samsung C & T","Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co.Ltd", and"archerodon".
