The Saudi trade balance achieves a surplus of 30,401 billion riyals in October 2023

The trade balance in the Kingdom achieved a surplus of 30,401 billion riyals in October 2023, according to the newly released preliminary data on international trade of Saudi Arabia, bringing the volume of international trade of the kingdom to 178,210 billion riyals.

Commodity exports amounted to 104,306 billion riyals of the total trade volume, while commodity imports amounted to 73,904 billion riyals, thus topping the group of Asian countries except Arab and Islamic, the groups of exporting countries in October, accounting for 58.8% of the total Saudi commodity exports worth 61,367 billion riyals.

The group of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries ranked second as the largest group of exporting countries with a share of 9.9% of total Saudi commodity exports, worth 10,334 billion riyals, while the group of European Union countries came third with 9.2% of total Saudi commodity exports with a value of 9,631 billion riyals.

In addition to the list of exports by countries, China ranked first as the largest exporting countries, accounting for 18.7% of total Saudi commodity exports, with a value of 19.545 billion riyals in October 2023, while Japan ranked second with a value of 12.259 billion riyals, with 11.8% of total Saudi commodity exports, India came as the third Exporting Countries with a value of 10.190 billion riyals, with 9.8% of total Saudi commodity exports, and South Korea ranked fourth with 10,033 billion riyals, by 9.6%, and fifth is the United Arab Emirates with a value of 5,069 billion riyals, by 4.9%.

Non-petroleum exports, including re-exports, passed through 32 different customs ports (sea, land, and air), and their initial value reached SR 22,028 billion, and King Fahd industrial port in Jubail achieved the highest value among all available means of transport and various ports, with a value of SR 4,231 billion, by 19.2%.
