Saudi Arabia.. The minister of Energy announces new discoveries of natural gas in the eastern province and the Empty Quarter
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of energy of Saudi Arabia, stated that the Saudi Arabian oil company #Saudi Aramco discovered two natural gas fields in the Empty Quarter, where the "al - Hiran" natural gas field was discovered, after gas flowed from the "Hanifa" reservoir in the (al – Hiran - 1) well at a rate of (30) million standard cubic feet per day, and (600r1) barrels of condensate, in addition to the gas flow from the "Arab-C" reservoir in the same field at a rate of (1r3) one million standard cubic feet per day, as well as the discovery of the "almakik" natural gas field, after gas flowed from the well (almakik-2) at a rate of (85 T 0) million standard cubic feet per day.
Natural gas was also discovered in five reservoirs in previously discovered fields, where natural gas was discovered in the "al – Jala" reservoir in the "aseikra" field in the Empty Quarter, after gas flowed at a rate of (46) million standard cubic feet per day, in addition to the discovery of an additional reservoir of natural gas in the "shadun" field west of Haradh Center, where natural gas was discovered in the "Unaiza-a" reservoir after gas flowed at a rate of (5 R15) million standard cubic feet per day, accompanied by about (460) barrels of condensate.
Natural gas was also discovered in the "Unaiza B/C" reservoir in the "mazaleej" field southwest of Dhahran, where gas flowed at a rate of (14) million standard cubic feet per day, accompanied by about (150 R4) barrels per day of condensate, and natural gas was also discovered in the "AL-Sarra" reservoir in the "AL-wadhihi" field and the "AL-Qusaiba" reservoir in the "awtad" field southwest of Hofuf city, where natural gas flowed from the "AL-Sarra" reservoir at a rate of (7 R11) million standard cubic feet in today, from the "AL-Qusaiba" reservoir at a rate of (1 T 5) million standard cubic feet per day, accompanied by about (57) barrels per day of condensate.
