Saudi Arabia unveils the design and logo of its pavilion participating in Expo Japan 2025

Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of culture, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at a cultural dinner ceremony within the activities of the Dojima River Conference in Osaka, Japan, unveiled the design and logo of its pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The ceremony came on the sidelines of the meeting of international participants in the exhibition, amid the presence of Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama, with the participation of delegations of the governments of the Kingdom and Japan, and officials from other countries participating in the exhibition.

On this occasion, H. E. Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez, Deputy Minister of culture and chairman of the executive committee of the kingdom's participation in International Expositions, said: "the Kingdom and Japan share deep cultural traditions.the two countries established diplomatic relations for the first time in 1955, and will celebrate the 70th anniversary of these relations at the launch of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

"The heritage of the two countries is embodied in hospitality and generosity, a sense of community unity, and deep respect for others, and as the kingdom moves forward to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by diversifying the sources of its economy and maximizing the volume of cultural exchange, we look forward to celebrating our common values at Expo,"he said.

For her part, Dr. Sumaya Al Sulaiman, CEO of the architecture and Design Arts Authority, said that the Saudi pavilion embodies the harmony prevailing in Saudi-Japanese relations, and tells a story filled with determination of spirit and innovation.this exceptional architectural design represents a number of key concepts, including commitment to originality, centrality of the human element, livability, technical progress, and shows unprecedented dedication to following sustainable practices.

For his part, the commissioner general of the Saudi pavilion participating in Expo Japan 2025 Osaka, Kansai Osman, said more: "the partnership that brings the kingdom together in Japan opens the doors of ambition wide. There is no doubt that the Saudi pavilion participating in the expo represents a nation undergoing an ambitious transformation, celebrating its rich heritage and embracing modern transformations,"he added.

"Today we have the opportunity to review the design of the pavilion, which reflects our common journey, which is based on a deep and common cultural heritage, and aims to build an advanced and inclusive future,"he added.

The design and logo of the Saudi pavilion showcase the history of the kingdom in the form of a story that takes participants on a journey to explore the kingdom's cultures, traditions, and values that form the basic pillars of its identity. The Pavilion highlights the remarkable radical transformation that is taking place in the Kingdom today, and its contributions to creating a better future for the world. The kingdom's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan comes within the framework of its long and strong relations with Japan, as the two countries celebrated at this ceremony the increase in the volume of investment, tourism, and cultural exchange between them.

The ceremony unveiled the design of the Kingdom pavilion, which was completed by the leading architectural company "Foster + Partners", in celebration of the Saudi-Japanese relations from the perspectives of heritage and architecture, and the sustainable design of the pavilion embodies the natural environment of the kingdom, mixing desert formations with modern architectural elements in reference to the close link between historical heritage and future development.

Inspired by the concept of Environmental Responsibility, the design includes low-carbon elements, contains an energy-saving lighting system, employs rainwater harvesting technologies, in addition to being equipped with solar panels to produce clean energy.its logo, which complements its unique architectural design, seamlessly blended the word "Saudi" written in Japanese script, which was placed inside the map of the Kingdom, and drawn in Arabic calligraphy in a style that bears the features of ancient Japanese calligraphy.
