The communications, space and Technology Commission (CITC) has issued a report on investment opportunities in the space market in the kingdom, which reviews the kingdom's journey in the space field since 1976, and the opportunities and challenges of the growth of the space market, which is expected to witness accelerated growth, and the report revealed the size of the space market in the kingdom in 2022, which amounted to 400 million dollars.
The report highlighted the most prominent investment opportunities in the kingdom's space market, represented by satellite manufacturing, launch services, the development of the ground station sector, satellite communications, Earth observation, the development of multi-sensor satellite infrastructure, space science and exploration opportunities, and emerging space fields.

The report pointed to the large economic mobility witnessed by the space market at the international level, which amounted to 464 billion dollars in 2022, representing 0.46% of the global GDP, and with an accelerated growth rate of more than 7% annually, and it is expected that the size of the global space economy will reach a record level of 738 billion dollars by 2030, as a result of the current investment of countries in the sector, which reached 100 billion dollars in 2022, equivalent to four times at the beginning of the first decade of the XXI century.
