The International Red Sea Company announced the inauguration of the first water airport in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the receipt of the operating license.
The license is the first of its kind for a water airport in Saudi Arabia, and it is also a step to promote the luxury tourism sector in the Kingdom, and fly Red Sea subsidiary of the International Red Sea Company - the first seaplane operator in Saudi Arabia - has obtained an AOC "Air Operator" Certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and a license to provide security operating services at the airport itself.

The water airport is located on the picturesque island of "Umm" in the Red Sea, and displays a unique harmony between aviation and water beauty, and the airport will provide a unique experience for those who want to fly in the sky while enjoying the stunning views of the "Red Sea" destination and what it has to offer.

The president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-duailej, handed over the operating license of the seaport of umhat island to the CEO of "International Red Sea" John Pagano, in the presence of Her Highness Princess Haifa bint Mohammed bin Saud, Deputy Minister of Tourism, and Secretary of the board of Directors of "International Red Sea", Dr. Fahd Tunisi, at the destination of "Red Sea".

He stressed that the delivery of the first water airport license to the International Red Sea Company comes within the framework of the tireless efforts carried out by the authority to contribute to creating an attractive environment for investment and providing all means of support, pointing out that the authority adopts meeting the needs of the kingdom's Vision 2030 projects, including the projects of the "Red Sea destination", in addition to the authority's efforts to continue to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality in the aviation sector, consolidate the regulatory and supervisory role of the authority, achieve regional leadership and apply the best international practices.

For his part, John Pagano pointed out that the inauguration of the airport is in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to turn the kingdom into a global destination for tourism, adding that this license highlights the company's commitment to environmental sustainability, as seaports are characterized by their environmentally friendly operations, which reduces their impact on natural materials and marine life, expressing his thanks to the General Authority of Civil Aviation for its keenness to formulate the accreditation process and the required regulatory framework accurately and its endeavor to continue to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality in the aviation sector.
