6 thousand participants from 90 countries at the "new Compass" forum over three days

 

Crown prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman witnessed the special dialogue session of the president of the Republic of Korea at the Future Investment Initiative Forum, which was launched on Tuesday at the King Abdulaziz Convention Center in Riyadh under the title "the new Compass", with the participation of nearly 6,000 participants from more than 90 countries, and 500 speakers from various sectors from inside and outside the Kingdom, and continues over three days.
 

At the beginning, Richard Atias, CEO of the Future Investment Initiative Foundation, said that the future of human values is a topic of deep importance, especially as the world stands on the threshold of a new era.

"The world today is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and with it the same values that have guided our societies for centuries are evolving, “ he said, adding that the challenges faced by the planet in terms of climate change, global health crises and conflicts require a collective spirit of empathy to find solutions that benefit everyone.

"It is important for everyone to strive to contribute to societies that embrace diversity in all its forms, while working to the full potential of human creativity and innovation, towards reaching inclusiveness and tolerance," said Richard Atias, stressing the importance of pursuing knowledge and education that constitute independence in an era of rapid technological progress, and promoting a culture that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and peace.

He pointed out that the world today must work at an accelerated pace, especially with regard to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and genetic engineering, with the need to create strong ethical frameworks that protect human rights, privacy and dignity, which guarantees the values of transparency and harnessing this technology for the benefit of all.

Atias said that the future of human values embraces compassion, inclusiveness, tolerance, knowledge, ethics and peace, noting the importance of realizing common responsibilities in caring for the planet, calling on everyone to adhere to these values as it is the compass that guides towards a brighter, fairer and sustainable future for all to influence humanity, and this is what the Future Investment Initiative seeks to achieve.
