The Red Sea International Airport received RSI Thursday, the first flight.
A plane arriving from the capital Riyadh landed on its new runway, amid the celebration of the "Red Sea International" Company, the developer of the "Red Sea" and"Amala" destinations, the most ambitious renewable tourism projects in the world.

Saudi Airlines will add this destination to its flight schedule with two flights a week on Thursday and Saturday from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the flight takes less than two hours, and then returns to the capital later the same day.
John Pagano, CEO of the company, said: We have promised ourselves that the Red Sea will be a unique location that welcomes visitors from all over the world to experience the hospitality and culture of Saudi Arabia, in addition to the charming nature that characterizes the region.
He added: Now, with the reception of the first flight at the airport, and also the start of our first resorts at the destination to work and receive bookings, it can be said that Saudi Arabia has already become on the world tourism map.

Bagano added that the airport is the main gateway to the (Red Sea) destination, as it is the first impression that moves to the visitor's mind, and it is the last thing he sees upon departure, pointing out that his brand mimics the high level of luxury services that visitors will enjoy throughout the destination.
The location of the Red Sea International Airport is in a strategic place, as it is 8 hours away from 85 percent of most of the world's population on the plane, and it is planned to expand it to receive international flights starting next year, and the opening of more resorts that will receive visitors within the first phase.

Coinciding with the arrival of the first flight, Red Sea International unveiled the airport's new brand, and visitors will see it in various forms at various points, ranging from the passenger terminal and staff uniforms, to electric mobility vehicles that will take them from there to their scheduled destination.
The "Red Sea International Airport" embodies the brand icon, in terms of architectural creativity in design, where the formation of the identity was inspired by the bird's eye view of the exterior of the airport, to express its creativity, modernity and sophistication in a contemporary and distinctive way.

The company has made significant progress in terms of other infrastructure works to ensure that the Red Sea destination is ready to welcome visitors, while fulfilling its promises towards responsible development and renewable tourism for Man and nature, where it has built 5 solar energy fields and more than 760 thousand solar panels, according to the needs of the first stage of the destination to completely disconnect from the national electricity grid, and fully rely on sunlight.

It is noteworthy that the Red Sea destination, when completed by 2030, will consist of 50 resorts providing a total of up to 8 thousand hotel units, more than a thousand residential units distributed over 22 islands and six Inland locations, in addition to luxury marinas, golf courses, restaurants and cafes, entertainment and recreation facilities.
