Saudi Military Industries Company SAMI launches production line for software-defined radio systems
Saudi Military Industries Company SAMI, the leading national partner in the defense and security industries sector, one of the public investment fund companies, in partnership with the Ministry of Defense represented by the Royal Saudi Land Forces and supported by the General Authority for Military Industries, announced the launch and operation of the production line for Software-Defined Radio Systems at the AEC factory.
Engineer Walid bin Abdulmajid Abukhaled, CEO of SAMI, stressed the role of this partnership in strengthening relations with l3harris, the world leader in the defense industry, and SAMI's commitment to significantly enhance local capabilities in this field.
He explained that the project plays a key role in achieving the kingdom's Vision 2030 to support the localization of 50% of the kingdom's defense spending, and also contributes to enhancing local content and continuous partnership with the Royal Saudi ground forces, indicating that SAMI is keen to provide the latest technologies and develop local talents and capabilities through this strategic project.
For his part, the CEO of advanced electronics company, engineer Ziad bin Hammoud Al-Muslim, stressed the company's commitment to developing the defense manufacturing sector within the framework of strategic partnerships and working to expand them, to ensure the achievement of the ambitions of localizing technologies for the defense industries.
