Saudi Arabia plans to launch several economic zones in 2021

Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment, said that the Kingdom intends to launch several economic zones in 2021, indicating that work is underway to prepare specialized and logistical economic zones with incentives and requirements.

And between the attractive and targeted sectors to be within these cities to be established in a number of regions of the Kingdom, taking into account the creation of an appropriate and healthy investment environment to work in, and among these sectors: (tourism - culture - sports - industry - artificial intelligence - technology - and health).

He added, during a briefing on the "Group of Twenty" entitled "Joint Action to Restore Confidence in Global Investment," that the Kingdom is striving for a qualitative growth in investments.

Al-Falih emphasized that the Kingdom still represents stability for investors in all sectors.

The Minister of Investment said that the level of foreign or domestic investments will be much higher than it is now.

He added: We are in the final review phase of the investment strategy for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was prepared by the Ministry of Investment in coordination with its partners in the government, the private sector, the Public Investment Fund and companies, and it will be launched early next year.

He pointed out that the strategy would include increasing investment opportunities internally, as it would grant full ownership rights to Saudi and foreign investors.
