The kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the first place globally in the Government Strategy Index for artificial intelligence, which is one of the indicators of the global ranking of artificial intelligence issued by Tortoise intelligence "Tortoise Intelligence", which measures more than 60 countries in the world, while Germany ranked second and China third in this index.
The global ranking of artificial intelligence measures more than 100 criteria within seven indicators: government strategy, research and development, competencies, infrastructure, operational environment, and trade, in which the Kingdom won the first place in the Government Strategy Index for artificial intelligence, and the 31st place in the total ranking indicators issued by "Tortoise", a global company with a global advisory board of experts in artificial intelligence from around the world.
The Kingdom achieved 100% in the index criteria, most notably, the existence of a dedicated and approved national strategy for artificial intelligence in the kingdom, the presence of a government entity dedicated to artificial intelligence, the existence of funding and budget for artificial intelligence, and the identification and follow-up of national targets for artificial intelligence.
The kingdom has been interested in artificial intelligence since early when a royal order was issued in 1440 ah to establish the Saudi authority for data and artificial intelligence "Sadaya" to be the national reference in everything related to them from organization, development and dealing.
Sadaya led the national trend for data and artificial intelligence to achieve the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, prime minister and chairman of Sadaya - may God protect him - and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and worked on developing the national strategy for data and artificial intelligence in order to unify efforts and launch national initiatives in data and artificial intelligence and make optimal use of them.
