Riyadh air revealed today, Monday, June 12, 2023, the visual identity and the first category of the exterior design of its aircraft fleet inspired by the color of the lavender plant.. He was presented with a Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 during a ceremony held at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in the presence of the minister of transport and logistics, engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-duailaj, and Princess Haifa bint Mohammed bin Saud, Deputy Minister of Tourism.
The plane circled the skies of the capital Riyadh, flying at a low altitude, passing through the most prominent landmarks of the capital, such as the King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD), Riyadh Boulevard and downtown towers.
The aircraft will be transported to Paris to display the identity of Riyadh air for the first time at the international level as part of its participation in the 54th edition of the Paris Air Show on Monday, June 19, 2023.
The new air carrier "Riyadh Aviation" will contribute to providing a new level of guest experience by adopting the latest digital technologies, which will reshape the future of aviation and travel, and the visual identity of Riyadh aviation reflects the modernity and future outlook of the kingdom, inspired by the kingdom's genuine hospitality and vibrant lavender colors that flood the kingdom in the spring, reflected in the exterior design of the first class of the fleet of unique aircraft, to start a new era of innovation and leadership in the field of aviation.
The design was designed by integrating the main landmarks of the Kingdom and the capital, which also includes the identity on the overall curves of the Arabic text with the slogan of the marketing and media campaign "the future begins here".
The company "Riyadh Aviation" will connect the capital with more than 100 destinations around the world, in order to distinguish the kingdom by its strategic location, which connects the three continents in Asia, Africa and Europe, and by reaching and connecting with more than 60 percent of the world's population within eight flying hours.
The new air carrier aims to rely on innovation in providing air transport services significantly and to be an effective element within the National Transport and logistics strategy and the National Tourism Strategy in the kingdom to make Riyadh a gateway to the world and a global destination for transport, trade and tourism.
Earlier this month, Riyadh Aviation announced at the seventy-ninth annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which was attended by the new air carrier, that it has obtained the special identifier "RX" as a special code of Riyadh airlines, as the new air carrier seeks to provide the most prominent digital technologies and modern innovations, in order to provide a unique experience for traveling guests.
Riyadh Air aims to facilitate 100 million visits to the kingdom by 2030, by welcoming travelers from all over the world, including tourists, commercial traffic and major events throughout the kingdom.
The establishment of "Riyadh Aviation" comes in line with the strategy of the Public Investment Fund to unlock the potential of promising sectors locally to support the diversification of the economy, the growth of the kingdom's non-oil GDP by up to 75 billion riyals, and the creation of more than 200 thousand direct and indirect jobs.
The "Riyadh aviation" company and King Salman International Airport are among the latest investments of the Public Investment Fund in the aviation sector, aiming to raise the financial sustainability of the aviation sector system and enhance its competitiveness globally, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The second national carrier

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GCAA) today granted the economic license of the National scheduled passenger air transport (GACAR-121s) to Riyadh airlines, in preparation for the start of its commercial activities as the second national carrier in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to provide its services; in order to enable and give companies the necessary flexibility to complete technical procedures (in the aviation safety and environmental sustainability sector) to obtain an Air Operator Certificate (AOC); in order to achieve the authority's direction in applying and enhancing its role as a regulator of the air transport industry in the kingdom.
