Riyadh.. Crown Prince campus announces the launch of the "Scientific" Center for science discovery and innovation
The campus of the crown prince, Princess Sarah bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz, chairman of the board of #Elmi, announced plans to launch a # Elmi Center for science discovery and innovation to be opened in 2025 as a non-profit center in the non-profit city of Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh.
Elmi is an ambitious non-governmental initiative, founded under the chairmanship of Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz, with the aim of empowering and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and innovators in the Kingdom, and will join the group of entities affiliated to the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation "MiSK", to contribute in turn to support the educational prospects of promising generations, and provide a new and innovative system that goes beyond traditional frameworks.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz, chairman of Elmi, said: "Elmi Center for science discovery and innovation is coming to be a national incubator and a beacon of knowledge and creativity for the promising Saudi generation. Therefore, our vision is to provide an inspiring center that nurtures the passion for knowledge of Science and technology. By targeting individuals of all abilities, Elmi seeks to empower the next generation of thinkers and innovators to meet the aspirations of our bright future".
The science discovery and Innovation Center "Elmi" has unique and sustainable urban designs, inspired by the environment and nature of the kingdom; to encourage young generations to innovate, ask questions, consider the challenges facing humanity, and work on innovation for a brighter future, commensurate with the varying abilities of individuals who will enjoy diverse facilities in a fun and stimulating environment for visitors and beneficiaries.
It is planned that "Elmi" will be a leading center globally, and an interactive and enabling family destination for the promising generation of thinkers, innovators and leaders of the new era, where the center will provide a fun and inspiring knowledge environment for beneficiaries, as well as interactive experiences that meet the needs of everyone, including individuals with disabilities, reflecting on the contribution of all national energies in shaping the future with creativity and participation, through investing in emerging minds.
The programs of the "Elmi" Center for science discovery and innovation are based on the STREAM methodology(Science, Technology, reading, engineering, arts and mathematics), which is characterized by providing an interactive journey and a wide range of exhibitions that highlight topics as diverse as space, ecosystems, artificial intelligence, and linking them to everyday life.
With the sponsorship and support of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation "MiSK" as its newest subsidiary and in partnership with the non-profit Mohammed bin Salman city; Elmi center comes to support the educational system with innovative knowledge frameworks to help generations overcome the challenges and succeed in the new era, thus contributing to providing an educational system that keeps pace with the Times and goes beyond traditional frameworks towards strengthening the kingdom's position as a leading country that invests in minds and contributes to drawing a better future for all.
Based on its name inspired by knowledge and science, "Elmi" center will contribute to enhancing knowledge by involving the community in activating programs to sponsor future scientists and innovators, contributing to the prosperity of innovative learning programs, enhancing the passion for knowledge, and unleashing the creativity and ideas of Saudi youth; in line with the goals of the kingdom's Vision 2030 aimed at enhancing the knowledge economy, developing Saudi youth and developing their abilities to lead the journey of growth and transformation in the kingdom.
According to the plans, the Science Center will take visitors on a journey of exploration aimed at enhancing their knowledge about the basic components of our reality - Energy, matter and information - and the principles and processes that explain their interconnection. These concepts will be explored through three themed interactive areas: our world, our selves, and our inventions. The approach in each area also uses exhibits and programs designed to excite and fascinate visitors, accompanied by valuable questions that motivate the visitor to innovative exploration and analysis.
