exposure and documentation of 58 archaeological sites in the King Khalid Reserve
58 archaeological sites have been discovered in the King Khalid Royal Reserve and part of the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed royal reserve ( a nature reserve located in the center of Saudi Arabia within the city of Riyadh).
The discoveries included: circles, niches, stone settlements used for housing and residence covered with sand as a result of erosion factors, archaeological sites of stone tool manufacturing workshops, three arrows of trimmed flint stone dating back to prehistoric times, in addition to finding water installations and ancient inscriptions in the thamudi pen dating back to the late thamudi period, the engraving was executed in the style of intaglio tapping on the rock, which are Neolithic and some signs and buildings of urban heritage that give evidence of the richness of the site and its importance as a historical heritage .
The palace has been registered in the National Urban Heritage Register, and most of the available information has been collected about the history of the palace and its architectural details, and there are joint efforts between the Heritage Authority and the Reserve to study the rehabilitation and development of the palace .
