The longest submarine cable in the world in Saudi Arabia.. connecting 33 countries with telecommunications and internet services
Center3, owned by stc Group and Mita, announced the arrival of the longest submarine cable in the world to two of the four planned landing sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, namely the cities of Jeddah and Yanbu. Growing and contributing to the Kingdom being a global digital center connecting the three continents of the world, Asia, Africa and Europe.
The Africa2 cable, with a length of more than 45,000 km, is one of the longest submarine cables ever launched in the world. By the end of the project in 2024, the submarine cable system will connect 33 countries and provide reliable connectivity and internet services across three continents: Africa, Asia and Europe.

After Jeddah and Yanbu, the Africa2 cable is expected to reach Duba later this year, and to Al Khobar in 2024.
The Africa2 submarine cable will enable higher levels of information exchange and digital business development, helping to fuel the next phase of growth in many economies.
The Africa2 cable extends over the entire Arabian Gulf region with Africa Pearls 2 cable extensions that will add landings in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and India, along with the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia.
