US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Sunday that Washington will tighten its sanctions against Iran next week.

Pompeo added that the upcoming sanctions against Iran would be against the backdrop of its political crackdown on dissent.

And the US Secretary of State added that Iran still refuses to investigate the killing of demonstrators last year, stressing that Washington will continue to pursue those involved in the killing of Iranian protesters.
