Russian President Vladimir Putin warned foreign parties against interfering in the Ukrainian events and vowed a thundering response, stressing that if Russia was exposed to any strategic threat, it would use weapons that none of its opponents possess.

"All decisions in this regard are ready," Putin said in a speech before members of the Legislative Council of the Russian Federal Assembly in St. Petersburg today.
He added, "We have all the capabilities for such a response...and tools that no one can boast of owning...but we will not brag about them, but we will use them."

"If someone from the outside wanted to interfere in the situation in Ukraine and create an unacceptable strategic threat, our response would be shocking, and all decisions in this regard have been taken," he added.

Putin reiterated that all the objectives of the Russian military operation in Ukraine will undoubtedly be achieved, to ensure the security of Donbass, the Russian Crimea and the whole of Russia.
