10 killed and 14 injured, including foreigners, in a tourist bus accident in Aswan

10 people were killed, including 5 foreign tourists, and 14 others were injured today (Wednesday) in a collision in Abu Simbel city, Aswan Governorate, southern Egypt.

A statement by the Aswan Governorate stated that a traffic accident on Abu Simbel Road killed 10 people, including four French tourists and a Belgian tourist, in addition to five Egyptians.

According to the statement, the accident occurred as a result of the collision of a tourist bus heading to the tourist city of Abu Simbel, and a truck heading to the city of Aswan, "at the 43rd kilometer in the direction of the Abu Simbel ambush."
The accident also resulted in the injury of 14 others, including 8 French and 6 Belgians, as officials in Aswan Governorate moved to the University Hospital to check on the injured cases in the accident.

Names of the injured in the tourist bus accident on Abu Simbel tourist road, 8 French injured are:

1- Belmin Jasmine, “44” years old, female, with a cut to the face and slight bruises.
2- Maxto Sivan, 59 years old, male, with sporadic abrasions and bruises.
3- Chico Man David, “47” years old, male, with bruises on the body and a cut to the head.
4- Vero Shakes, 18 years old, male, with bruises and abrasions on the body.
5- Sanda Mufli Manda, “37” years old, female, with bruises and abrasions on the body.
6- Jessica Gekkos, 42 years old, female, with a cut and a broken nose and bruises all over the body.
7- Maiko Bellman, “14”, male, with suspected fracture of the spine and sporadic bruises on the body.
8- Tibbouts Abbott, “58” years old, male, with a suspected fracture of the right arm.
6 of the injured are Belgians.
1- Michel Jibril, “72” years old, male, with a suspected fracture of the vertebral column.
2- William Joseph, 20 years old, male, with bruises and abrasions on the body.
3- Fullerin Natran, “21” years old, male, with bruises and abrasions on the body.
4- Christina Wend Marty, 62 years old, female, with a suspected fracture of the left leg.
5- Marceline David, “65” years old, male, with a suspected fracture of the right arm.
6- Marco Emmanuel, 49 years old, suspected of having a broken nose and separate bruises on the body.

For its part, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that 30 ambulances had been dispatched to the site of the crash to treat the injured.
The Ministry's spokesman, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, said in a statement that the injuries ranged from cut wounds, fractures, abrasions and sporadic bruises, stressing that the injured received the necessary medical and emergency services, and the availability of medical supplies and blood bags at the university hospital.
