The Kremlin: It does not rule out a meeting between Putin and Zelensky
The Kremlin announced that it is not excluded the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"No one is ruling out the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Zelensky. Yes, this meeting is understandably possible," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
At the same time, Peskov stressed the need for ministers and delegations from both sides to complete their work first, "so that the two presidents meet not for the sake of meeting and talking, but for the sake of achieving a result."
He added that the positions of the Russian side in this regard are clear and known, and the Ukrainian negotiators have been informed of them, stressing that Moscow is waiting for Kyiv's response.
