The Eastern Municipality establishes 17 gardens in the capital of Dammam as part of the Humanization of Cities Program

Beth: The Eastern Province Municipality revealed the completion of the construction work of 10 parks in Dammam, while work is currently underway to implement 7 parks in Dhahran and Khobar, which come within the municipality’s plan to humanize cities and the Quality of Life Program.

The Municipality explained that the completion rate has reached 100% for 10 gardens in Dammam in the following neighborhoods: Al-Fursan, Al-Waha, Al-Shula, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Montazah, Al-Anoud, Al-Jalawia, Al-Muhammadiyah, Al-Nawras, Taiba, noting that its total area exceeds 33,000 square meters, including Green areas, with a total area of ​​more than 13,000 square meters, including children's games, athletics, football fields, toilets, and walking tracks, with a total length of 2,100 linear meters.

She pointed out that work is currently underway to establish 4 gardens in Al-Khobar, namely olive, lily, linden, and spring, with a total area of ​​more than 50,000 square meters, including green areas with a total area of ​​20,000 square meters, and the inclusion of built-in children's games, athletics, and soccer fields. Feet, toilets, and walking tracks with a total length of 1860 linear meters. While work is underway to establish 3 parks in Dhahran, namely Al Thuraya Park in the 911 scheme, Al Sadeem Park in Al Taraji neighborhood and Al Dhahi Walk, with a total area of ​​more than 12,000 square meters. It included green areas with a total area of ​​more than 3,500 square meters, and included children’s games, and a walking track with a length of more than of a thousand metres. 

The secretariat stressed the keenness to provide everything that creates the appropriate atmosphere for citizens and residents for rest and recreation, within programs aimed at improving the quality of life, noting that people with disabilities have been taken into account in such projects with the aim of integrating them into society by providing means that help them benefit from these projects, which It comes within the humanization of cities and quality of life programs, which are supervised by the Agency for Reconstruction and Projects in coordination with the municipalities and the Services Agency, and it will transform the cities of the region into distinctive and civilized destinations that attract residents and visitors, and turn them into high-level future destinations, pointing out that several criteria have been set to determine priorities. To implement the concept of humanization in the region’s cities, by developing a number of sites with development goals, in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision and achieving the objectives of the Quality of Life Program, which includes enhancing the human dimension by preparing the region and making it healthy, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
