An automated robot delivers fatwas to pilgrims
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has launched the “Automated Fatwa Robot” service in the mosques of the holy sites and the headquarters of campaigns in the context of employing its technical services during the Hajj season this year in light of the precautionary measures.
The “robot” achieves remote visual communication between the questioner and the mufti 24 hours a day, and provides awareness and guidance needed by pilgrims throughout the season, through an automated control system according to programmed paths and sensitive motion sensors.. It also includes a three-dimensional early warning feature with broadcast. The voice came at the required time, as the robot received a number of pilgrims in the Arafat area, and provided them with fatwas and inquiries related to Hajj, its rituals and rulings.
