Al-Rabiah: The Kingdom has provided 713 million dollars and vaccines to countries to confront the Corona pandemic
His Excellency the Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, stressed the importance of the ministerial meeting of the Group of Twenty countries on humanitarian issues, which was held recently in the Italian city of Brindisi, and its proposals and solutions to confront the Corona pandemic and limit its effects.
During the meeting, the Kingdom's leading role in humanitarian work, and its great efforts to support countries in facing the pandemic, was emphasized, explaining that the Kingdom provided $713 million during the year 2020, in addition to providing vaccines to countries in need.
Dr. Al-Rabiah indicated that the Kingdom's efforts to support refugees, especially during the pandemic, were also reviewed.
He also said: The meeting discussed the most important challenges facing the world as a result of the pandemic, and what must be done to avoid these challenges, adding that the Kingdom emphasized the importance of partnership with international factories to transfer vaccine technology to the regions, and also suggested that the Kingdom be a regional headquarters for technology transfer and health industries, and a logistical headquarters for the transfer of vaccines. Humanitarian needs of needy countries in Africa and Asia.
