Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, will inaugurate, tomorrow, Wednesday, the region’s digital projects exhibition and accompanying events, in the Dome of Jeddah, and it will last for a week.

The Jeddah Super Dome, which ranks first as the largest columnless dome in the world, is located on Madinah Road, west of King Abdullah Sports City, with an interior area of ​​more than 34,000 square meters, a height of 46 meters, a diameter of 210 meters, and 5,200 parking spaces for hosting events and conferences.

A statement issued by the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, on Sunday, stated that, for the first time, the conclusion of the Emirate's programs and activities is unified in one week, organized annually, in which all government, civil and community agencies in the region participate, and a number of events, competitions and various programs participate.

A ceremony will be held during which the Emir of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region will honor the winners of the competitions implemented by the emirate, such as the Makkah Excellence Award, the Makkah Cultural Forum and other cultural programs. The digital exhibition will be available to the people of the region and visitors, taking into account the application of precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.



According to the statement, the exhibition will present to the public digital presentations on the achievements and development projects adopted by the Emirate of the region in terms of building people and developing the place, and the government and private sectors in the region participated in their implementation, and represent the outputs of the development strategy for the region, which was launched by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal about 14 years ago. It took the Kaaba as its starting point, to achieve development that includes the seventeen governorates, and the government and private sectors participated in setting its vision. The people of the region, for the first time at the level of the regions of Saudi Arabia, had an active and pivotal role in setting the strategic development plans for their region.

He also explained that the exhibition will provide glimpses of the region’s pioneering projects, which have been completed in the aspect of development of the place, including the reconstruction of Makkah, the development of waterfronts in the region’s governorates, the Al-Haramain train project, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and the new Taif, in addition to health, education, water and other service projects. Its implementation in the region’s governorates, and the ongoing and future projects that are in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030 will be presented. In the aspect of human building, the access of university education to all governorates of the region will be reviewed, the Makkah Cultural Forum under the slogan (How to be a role model), the Hajj campaign is worship and civilized behavior, and the Institute Prince Khaled Al-Faisal for Moderation, the Makkah Region Economic Forum, and other initiatives and programs that had an impact on creating a cultural movement in the region, and actively contributed to raising the level of culture among its people, and stimulating the spirit of competition with the aim of development among its sectors.

The statement indicated that the exhibition will witness the launch of the Makkah Days of Programming and Artificial Intelligence, which is one of the pioneering initiatives of the Makkah Cultural Forum in its fifth session, entitled "How to be a role model in the digital world, and teams of students from King Abdulaziz, Umm Al-Qura, Jeddah, and Taif universities will participate in it." The University of Business and Technology, along with specialists and academics in the fields of technology, software and artificial intelligence, will compete to innovate technical solutions and programs that contribute to the advancement of the Hajj and Umrah, tourism and entertainment sectors, which will reflect positively on the services provided, as well as diagnose and identify positive aspects in order to enhance and develop them in line with the rapid development in the field. technical aspects, and at the same time contributes to bringing the services provided to the level that achieves hopes and aspirations.

He pointed out that the exhibition will host a number of health cadres in the region and its affiliated governorates, in celebration of them and in appreciation of their heroic role in combating the Corona pandemic, and the exhibition will also witness dialogue sessions in which participants discuss a number of topics, including media and advertising aspects and their impact on the technical boom, service development, development and artificial intelligence. and others.

The statement indicated that the exhibition will open its doors to the people and visitors of the region, while visits will be organized for employees of the government and private sectors in the region, in addition to employees, representatives and members of literary and sports clubs, local and municipal councils, and other various sectors in the region.
