His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister — may God protect him — today received His Excellency Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, at the Royal Court in Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
Official Reception and Formal Talks
An official reception ceremony was held for the Indian Prime Minister, followed by a formal session of talks between His Royal Highness and His Excellency.
During the session, the Crown Prince welcomed the Prime Minister to the Kingdom, while Mr. Modi expressed his pleasure at visiting Saudi Arabia and meeting His Royal Highness.
The two leaders reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between their friendly countries and discussed ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and the efforts made to achieve security and stability, in addition to discussing issues of common interest.
Strategic Partnership Council
Subsequently, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Indian Prime Minister chaired the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council, where they reviewed several topics on the Council’s agenda with the attendance of members from both sides.
At the conclusion of the Council meeting, the Crown Prince and the Indian Prime Minister signed the Minutes of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council Meeting, reaffirming their commitment to deepening strategic cooperation.
Expanded Bilateral Meeting
Following the Council session, His Royal Highness held an expanded bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of India to continue discussions on enhancing strategic ties and cooperation on regional and international priority issues.
