His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, made a phone call with President Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China.

During the call, the two green Saudi initiatives and the green Middle East to face environmental challenges in the region were reviewed, the contribution of these two initiatives to achieving global targets to combat climate change, and their influential role in raising the quality of life in the region and the world at large.

The Crown Prince indicated that the Kingdom is working to organize an annual summit for the Green Middle East Initiative in the presence of leaders and officials in the environmental field, stressing that China will be a major partner for the initiative.

For his part, the Chinese President expressed his country's support for these two initiatives, stressing the importance of their support by the international community.

During the call, aspects of Saudi-Chinese relations, areas of bilateral cooperation and opportunities for their development in various sectors were reviewed.
